TCC’s Titans baseball team is having a tremendous season holding first place in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community College’s (NWAACC) West Division along with a seven game winning streak since their last loss against Lower Columbia, April 6.

The TCC Titans are off to a great season start after a four game winning streak against Green River Community College and the much acclaimed Lower Columbia Community College.

Tacoma Community College’s women’s basketball team ended the season with an outstanding upset against Centralia (82 - 78) at Centralia, February 23rd.

With a season average of 14 points per game and a court presence larger than her size, Titan Jennifer Sorenson has been in love with basketball since the first grade. “It is my passion; I play for the love of the game. This sport has a lot of history behind it and is by far my favorite!” she said.

The Lady Titans have stepped into the 2008 season with a few minor bumps and bruises, holding an early record of one win, two losses and a pre-season record of one win, nine losses.

TCC’s gym was left packed by speechless fans after the Clark Community College Penguins made an upsetting comeback during the Titan’s opening season game January 2.

Tacoma Community College’s Women’s soccer team defeated Spokane 3 - 1 during Round 1 of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community College’s (NWAACC) playoffs November 7th.

Tacoma Community College Sophomore, Hiromi Imaizumi is an International Student from Tokyo, Japan. She plays Defensive Specialist on the Titan Volleyball team, and has been named the NWAACC’s defensive player of the week twice this season. The Challenge had a chance to sit down with Hiromi and learn more about this interesting athlete.

The Lady Titans Volleyball team is headed with great momentum to the Dorian Harris annual volleyball tournament in Gresham, Oregon. They have so far dominated their competition with another three wins against Highline, Everett, and Lower Columbia, bringing TCC’s flawless record to 10 - 0.

TCC’s Women’s Volleyball team remains an unstoppable force after a showdown with the Pierce College Raiders on October 12. The Lady Titans won all three home games against the second ranking team in the West Division.
